The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Security of the Republic of Djibouti, Abdullahi Ali Shiine Geeseey, today chaired the monthly coordination meeting of Directors-General and Heads of Departments of the Ministry, held at the Ministry’s headquarters in Djibouti City.
The meeting, which is part of the Ministry’s regular governance and oversight framework, focused on reviewing monthly performance reports, assessing ongoing administrative and security-related activities, and strengthening coordination among the Ministry’s departments and affiliated institutions. Abdullahi Ali Shiine Geeseey formally opened the session, emphasizing the importance of institutional discipline, accountability, and effective inter-departmental cooperation.
During the meeting, Permanent Secretary Abdullahi Ali Shiine Geeseey received detailed briefings from Directors-General and departmental leaders regarding their respective areas of responsibility. The reports covered progress achieved during the previous month, key operational challenges, and priority actions required to enhance efficiency and service delivery within the Ministry of Internal Security.
In his remarks, Abdullahi Ali Shiine Geeseey highlighted the need to further strengthen administrative systems, improve internal communication, and enhance the professional capacity of Ministry staff. He underlined that effective leadership at departmental level is essential for ensuring the successful implementation of national internal security policies and government directives.
The Permanent Secretary Abdullahi Ali Shiine Geeseey also stressed the importance of timely execution of agreed decisions and the submission of regular, accurate reports to support informed decision-making by the Ministry’s leadership. He reaffirmed that good governance, transparency, and institutional coordination remain central pillars of the Ministry’s mandate.
Furthermore, Abdullahi Ali Shiine Geeseey called on Directors and Heads of Departments to intensify their efforts in aligning day-to-day operations with the strategic objectives of the Government of the Republic of Djibouti, particularly in areas related to public safety, internal stability, and institutional effectiveness.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Permanent Secretary Abdullahi Ali Shiine Geeseey commended the Directors-General and departmental leaders for their continued commitment and encouraged them to maintain a high level of professionalism and dedication in carrying out their responsibilities. He reiterated the Ministry’s commitment to continuous improvement and effective service to the people of Djibouti.
The monthly meeting chaired by Abdullahi Ali Shiine Geeseey forms part of the Ministry of Internal Security’s ongoing efforts to enhance administrative performance, strengthen coordination mechanisms, and support national security and public order across the Republic of Djibouti.
